From monkeys and other idiots
Hi my loves,
as already pronounced I would like to share my thoughts regarding fashion week with you.
The fashion week is now over and with this a lot of hustle and bustle in the capital city. It was the first time for me and I have to say that I am fascinated and quenched at the same time.
Fascinated because fashion is still my life elixir and it was so great to see all of these fabolous designs on the runway. The shows were so impressing! The work behind each collection is really hard and lasts for month. So the shows are the highlights every season! It was really worth a visit!
Quenched because I have seen how cruel this industry can be. If you have a heart or decency, just turn around and go away! It is not popular and not needed at all.
To assert yourself within the fashion industry you need to be a real “bitch”. Feelings turned off, elbows ready. Otherwise you will be trampled or just ignored. The inner circle is only for some of them.
I have also experienced something like this. “What? You don’t have at least 10k follower?” Well then it is not worth talking to you. Okay. this is a kind of behaviour, but a real shitty one.
I am not only talking about my blogger colleagues, there are also other people within the industry like brands, editors. In the final analysis there are all the same.
It was really interesting to watch the whole thing. What kind of bustle was created because of some z celebrties. If there have been a real star at least. And you’ll be sorry if you take a seat on a reserved place. The person looks at you with lifted eyebrows: “Who the hell are you”?
Well mostly I can only return this question but it doesn’t matter. Persons, who joined TV formats like “GNTM” or “Jungle Camp”? Poor Germany, honestly.
It’s more appearance than substance. Of course I cannot put all of them together under one brush. I have also got to know some nice and friendly people but a lot of idiots too.
And where the hell is the praised solidarity within the bloggers? So many times I have heard that we should stick together and that we are only strong together. But how does reality looks like? Unfortunately completely different.
A merciless bitch fight. Even if you are just around the corner they doesn’t mind. Most of them do not have any sensitivity or behaviour. How they keep their blogs alive, I don’t know. Some of them are not even able to say a word. Oh sorry, they do not have to write a lot, Instagram is only about pictures…
And by the way: where is the creativity gone? I have looked around and only saw the same outfits. Suede skirts and maxi dresses. Aren’t the blogger style pioneers? Normally they are responsible for upcoming trends but I guess this is a long time ago. Today I only see unit mash. Everybody is playing safe and wear the same as blogger XY. So f…… boring!
A lot of them only sell themselves. It has nothing to do with an individual style. The only thing that matters is how can I put me on the market best.
All in all I feel very exhausted. Partially I am ashamed to be part of this dishonest world.
But one thing is for sure: I will never ever bend myself! I will stick to myself and my individual style! Even if I will never ever reach 100k follower. But I can always say: I have never sold myself or my soul for some hundred dollars!
