It is all about velvet baby

Hi my loves,

you have probably noticed that there is ONE big trend this fall/winter season: it is all about velvet! Well ok, you might not think about fall clothes during this summer heat at the moment but winter will come quickly like every year so we have to focus on next seasons trends.

Almost every designer showed at least one velvet piece during the last autumn/winter Pret-a-porter shows. I am totally obsessed with Valentinos velvet dress, either in yellow or dark green. So there are only two options: you like velvet or you hate it. There is nothing between. I am a velvet lover and I could not imagine a fashion life without the heavy winter material.

Ok, Velvet is not something new at all. Do you remember last winter? There was a first revival. But now the designers choosed to make it look more mysteriously, darker and even with a grunge touch.

Also the make-up comes along in dark colours. One of the most popular make-up trends this fall are dark lips. Choose a berry colour or dark red. The eyes stay clean nude or just underlined naturally with a highlighter. Strobing is also one of the most popular trends!

 Wear your hair in boho waves or put them behind in an elegant chignon!

But now it comes to the most important question: how do we style velvet?

There are certainly no rules, as always but if you ask me I would prefer to wear velvet all other or choose even one velvet thing and mix it with denim. At the moment I am totally obsessed with velvet bags. They give you an instant aristocratic touch. And to be honest: is there any girl in the world who has never dreamed of being a princess?

As there was a comeback of this heavy material last year I have already bought some great pieces. One of them are these black flared trousers I have showed you some months ago. So when it gets colder I will certainly grap these pants. Even though it is not so easy at all. Some das ago I recognized that these pants are missing. I don’t know what happened, maybe they got lost during our relocation or they are still waiting in one of the boxes I have not unpacked yet (yes, shame on me, there are just too many). Please wish me luck that I will find them the next days. 😉
