What I use for my everyday Make-up
Hi my loves,
today I want to show you which beauty and make-up products I usually use for a natural everyday look. Of course there are variations each day it just depends on my mood but this is the basis and I actually use some of the procuts since years now.
If you want a variation of change of make-up just play with different lispticks or eyeshadow colours.
But today let’s start with my daily make-up routine:
Step 1 – Cleansing
Maybe the most important step is to get clean and healthy skin. As you might know I have some struggles with this issue for quite a long time. So my dermatologist advised me to use the medical produtcs from Nimue. So this is what I did. I usually start with the the cleansing gel to get clean and purified skin for the next steps.
Step 2 – Toner / Conditioner Lite
The second step includes cleansing my skin with a Contitioner Lite with the help of some little rubbish pads. It is not only the second step of cleansing it is even more about revitalizing skin for a better skin structure. After this I wait a few seconds and let it dry before I start with the third step.
Step 3 – Moisturizer
Now I apply the Moisturizer Lite.
This is a very light care but also extremely moisturizing. Perfect for my skin! My sensitive skin does not tolerate too rich creams. I wait about 2 minutes to let the cream seep in before we are heading to the next products.
Step 4 – Sun protection and Eye cream
So now I am applying a sun protection SPF 40. It doesn’t matter if I will leave the house this day or not. Sun protection is most important when it comes to skin care. If I would have acted earlier on this advise I truly could have avoid some big wrinkles. But now it is like it is and I take it with dignity 😉 After sun care I also apply a bit of eye cream and wait further 5 minutes to seep in.
Step 5 – Foundation + Eyebrows
Now it is time for the foundation. I only take a tiny dab of it, less is more in this case. Believe me. If you are applying to much foundation your teint will probably look pale like a a mask. And this is something we all want to avoid, right? When I do not have enough time I spread the make-up with my fingers but it is better to use a special make-up sponge. The result is even regularly and better. In summer a light cc or cc cream is enough instead of a foundation if you ask me. I also underline and fix my eyebrows a little bit with a eyebrow gel.
Step 6 – Concealer + Powder
The basis is almost done. There is just a concealer missing. I usually take a bit of liquid concealer and apply it right underneath my eyes to cover dark circles. I also use a creamy concealer to cover some spots and impurities. In the end I take just a bit of powder.
Step 7 – Bronzer + Rouge
For the next step I normally use a lighter bronzer which I apply underneath my cheek bones for some light contouring. I avoid apllying to much bronzer because my face contour is already some kind of edgy. Afterwards I use a pink bluish blush and aplply it directly on my cheek bone while smiling into the mirror to catch the highest point.
Step 8 – Highlighter (Part I)
Now I take the highlighter stick from Nars and apply it above my cheek bones, draw a light line on my nose and swab a bit above my mouth and on my chin and forehead. I have told you in my last beauty post that a good highlighter is one of the essentials for my beauty routine. In my case I use three different one by one.
Step 9 – Eyeshadow Primer
To prepare my eyelids perfectly for the upcoming eyeshadow and to guarantee a long hold I use a special eyeshadow primer. Not neccessary to mention that primers are a good option for a make-up base and to make it last all day long. It is the same effect with eyeshadow here. Everybody knows this situation: after 5 hours the eyeshadow normally starts to crumble. This will not happen whe you use a primer first.
Step 10 – Eyeshadow
So after this step I can apply the eyeshadow. In daily life I usually use a utral, warm colour for my eyes to make them shine. My favourite is the Dior Eyeshadow Diorshow Fusion. I just apply it with my fingers. Then I use a little eyeshadow brush to veneer the colour.
Step 11 – Eyeliner + Mascara
The eye make-up is almost done, ldaies! Now I draw a soft line with a brown eyeliner pencil and complete the look with the eyelash curler and mascara. If I like it a bit more dramatic I use a liquid black eyeliner instead of the brown one.
Step 12 + 13 – Highlighter (Part II) + Lipstick
Last but not least I apply a nude lipstick which is really good for everyday life because it just underlines your natural lip colour. I know that some of you avoid wearing shocking lipsticks like those flashy red or pink ones, for this reason I can only recommend the Gen Nude Lipstick collection from bareMinerals. There is something for every type!
So we’re done, this was my daily beauty routine. On average I need 15-20 minutes for all. If I need to hurry up in the morning I just leave out a few products like the last highlighters or the eyeshadow. Just a bit of foundation, some blush and lipstick and I am ready to go!
