Paris, mon amour
Hi my loves,
there are cities and there are cities. Paris remains my absolute and all-time favorite! There is no other city in the world that touches my heart in this very special way. As soon as my feet touch the streets of Paris it is immediately happening: the magic, the spirit! It seems like the city is drawing the whole sense of my body, no doubt! I can absolutely loose myself while strolling through the beautiful streets, visiting lots of vintage stores and old book stores.
But let’s start with the right order: I have been to the city of love last October for my birthday bash. And what should I say? It could not have been any better! Beside it all the weather has definitely made the best birthday gift ever: 25 degrees in the middle of October, unbelievable right? The warmest evening right under the Eiffer Tower will always stay in my heart.
This time I decided to travel in a very comfy and smooth way with the Thalys train. There is a very good connection from NRW, Germany e.g. from Cologne or Düsseldorf. The train ride does only take 4-5 hours and time definitely flies. The Thalys also offers different services. I booked the premium variation, so I had some great advantages just like spacious seats as well as enough space for our luggage, also magazines and newspapers for free if you like. We also had a warm meal as well as some snacks and beverages which were served directly by the seat. You can easily choose whatever you like. So there could have been any better start for this journey!
After arriving in Paris we checked into the hotel “Le Narcisse Blanc” within the 7th Arrondissement. I have already talked about the 5-star house in one of my latest hotel reviews
It was definitely a stay to remember, thats for sure!
The whole hotel has this particular scent and its just everywhere. I could take a bath in it! So yummy! Also, the rooms are just to die for. I mean soft pink velvet curtains speak for themselves, right?
I can also recommend the hotel-owned gastronomy! I enjoyed a very fabulous 3 course birthday dinner.
Hotel Le Senat
The second stop was the Hotel Senat in Saint Germain. Its pretty famous for its lively neighbourhood and one of my fave arrondissements in Paris. It is located right in the center of Saint Germain and you can easily visit every tourist attraction like Notre Dame or the beautiful “Jardin du Luxembourg”. Beside the room size I was totally impressed by the little adorable rooftop with its unique view above Paris. I mean, just wow!!!
Hotel Square Louvois
Last but not least I made a stop at the fab hotel “Square Louvois” which was also a gorgeous end of my short tip to Paris. The urban, stylish house is located in the “Louvre” neighbourhood and it really offers something for every taste. If you step outside the door you will find yourself within the hustle and bustle, you only have to choose what to do: would you like to eat Vietnamese or do you prefer discovering “Les Galeries Lafayette”? The hotel is very modern and elegant and it also offers a very delicious breakfast.
All in all this Paris trip was increcdible like any other and I just love, love, love this city soo much! Will be back very very soon!
